Normal For Norfolk photo taken from Radio TimesWe are extremely proud to announce that one of our long standing clients Mr Desmond MacCarthy of Wiveton Hall, is currently starring in a new BBC2 show Normal for Norfolk which we are thoroughly enjoying watching.  The first episode aired on Wednesday 13th April 2016 at 10pm and we believe there are a further 3 episodes to watch.  We are certain that there will be a return visit in the future, as all social media is currently raving about those famous eyebrows, which of course we have been privy to for many years.  However, what should be remembered is the genuinely wonderful person Desmond is.

More than 25 years ago, we deepened his well which is sunk into chalk and relined the lower section with concrete rings.  The well yield at that time had dropped off significantly during one of the many droughts.  We also removed a mechanical deep well pump and installed a modern electric submersible pump, together with a pressure vessel and control equipment.  The well at that time supplied the manor house and gardens.  Today it is also used in the cafe, so think of the water when you are next visiting enjoying the fantastic range of home made dishes they have on offer.

As Desmond was mindful of his clients welfare, at a later date we installed an Ultraviolet Water Disinfection System which effectively eradicates any bacteria that may be present, providing a wholesome water supply.

We hope that Desmond's new found fame will bring him much success for the future.
