Garden Systems Drip Tape

Drip Tape is a special drip product that is best used under a mulch because it is very light weight and can be blown around in a breeze. Only suitable for straight lines. It comes flat and the drippers are formed when the tape is extruded and there are not any actual drippers as in the drip pipe but the necessary labyrinth and holes are created when the tube is formed and glued together. This makes it very cheap but it only lasts a couple of seasons.

The drippers are spaced every 30cm and the tape is black. Designed for very low pressure use and a pressure regulator must be used.

We recommend that the Drip Tape is used on the surface or covered with mulch. If you wish to bury your irrigation pipe use the Leaky Pipe.

Drip Tape is easy to lay out and is easily connected to the simple fittings that are pushed and screwed together. Hose or pipe is used to connect all the lines of Drip Tape up to form a system. We found that pegging it down with bent wire hoops can help keep the pipe in position.

Very simple to automate with our wide range of timers and we recommend that you use a pressure regulator to make sure high pressure does not become a nuisance. Fertiliser can easily be introduced to your Drip system with one of our Feeders. Please note any fertiliser can be used but make sure it is fully soluble and use a filter.

Clean water should be used, if your water could be of an insufficient quality use a Filter.  For specialist advice call us on  01473 400101.

Due to the nature of the Drip Tape special fittings have to be used.
